Prior to any procedure in setting up the hierarchy, you are requested to familiarize with the terminology employed in the Organization module.
Defining the Organization Terminology
The visual display of the organization hierarchy is of managers and departments. The system recognizes the Representatives below a manager as belonging to his department, even if the organization does not includes any department.
A manager is defined by an arrow attached to his name. In case of a higher rank manager, the system defines him as top manager.
When the arrow is straight on, the manager name only is shown, while the lower ranking manager arrow is shown as tilted down.
Viewing a Manager List of Representatives
When the arrow is straight on, the manager name only is shown. To view the list of Representatives, proceed as follows:
- Click on the arrow attached to the manager name (1). The list of Representatives below him is shown, while the arrow is shown as tilted down (2).
Making Changes in an Employee Rank and Position
Joopy enables redrawing easily the relations within the hierarchy, to reflect changes in the organization.
Proceed as follows:
- Click on the employee name and drag it horizontally to the proper level, in the managerial ranking.
- Click on the employee name and drag it to its proper department.
