The Parameters feature in the Formula Wizard Setup provides the parameters for the commission calculation.
Depending on the Data Element properties, the Parameters screen shall display a different set of commission calculation option.
The Commission shall be calculated either as Per Percent or By Quantity of the transaction/sale. Next, set the threshold value limit below which there shall be no bonus. Finally. You can set a capping value that limits the amount of commission that can be earned thus diminishing the incentive to go above and beyond.
Why not addressing the "By What field, Accumulation, Time Frame" parameters?
For a Per Percent commission rate, proceed as follows:
- Click on Parameters (1) in the Formula Wizard
- Select As Percent (2) if the commission is calculated as a percentage of the sale.
- Note: As Percent is the default choice when selecting Parameters.
- Enter the Rate (3) so the commission is calculated as a percentage of this rate for each transaction.
- Enter the Threshold (4) value as the minimum rate below which no commission is paid.
- Enter the Capping (5) value to limit the commission value beyond this value.
- Press Finish (6) to complete the Formula Wizard set up for the selected Data Element.
For a By Quantity commission rate, proceed as follows:
- Click on Parameters (1) in the Formula Wizard
- Select By Quantity (2) if the commission is calculated as a quantity or an amount of the sale.
- Enter the Rate (3) so the commission is calculated as a rate (or sum) for each transaction.
- Enter the Threshold (4) value as the minimum rate below which no commission is paid.
- Enter the Capping (5) value to limit the commission value beyond this value.
- Press Finish (6) to complete the Formula Wizard set up for the selected Data Element.
(Need to create another one for Bonus Parameters, and for Compatition...)
